Anna Calvi, 808INK, Marsicans, Sivu and C Cane among the latest 19 artists to receive Momentum Music Fund support

PRS Foundation, the UK’s leading funder of new music and talent development, together with Arts Council England, Spotify and PPL, announces today (30 July 2017) the 19 artists that have been supported in the latest round of Momentum Music funding.

The 19 artist are:

808INK – EP and single releases with full marketing campaigns
Abattoir Blues – Recording and touring, plus related marketing
Anna Calvi – Album marketing, videos, A/V development for live shows and PR
Boston Manor – Marketing and tour support
C Cane – EP promotion and tour support
Coco – Single releases, marketing campaigns and UK touring
Gazelle Twin – Album release and marketing
Hardy Caprio – Support towards Hardy’s first official EP and related campaign costs
Hejira – Recording, marketing and touring the band’s second album
Hollie Cook – UK tour support
Jadu Heart – Recording and promotion of an EP, plus tour support
L.A. Salami – Album recording
Let’s Eat Grandma – Album recording
L-VIS 1990 – Album release
Marsicans – UK tour support
Paris Youth Foundation – UK tour support and recording
Rachel K Collier – Mixing, mastering, release and marketing of singles and EP
Sivu – Album marketing and promotion
Slick Don – Recording, mixing, mastering, music videos, marketing and radio plugging

Momentum supported, and Mercury Prize nominated, Anna Calvi said, “I am excited to develop my third album with the support of the Momentum Music Fund, and thankful for their support across creative musicians of all backgrounds and genres.”

Peter Leathem, Chief Executive of PPL commented: “We are very excited to once again be able to provide financial and career development support to new and emerging talent through our ongoing relationship with the PRS Foundation.  There is a diverse mix of artists who will receive support in this latest round of Momentum funding and we look forward to seeing and hearing the positive impact that this funding will have on their career development.”

Since 2013 the Momentum Music fund has supported over 190 artists, over 85 new albums and more than 100 UK tours totaling over 650 UK live dates. The recent impact report analysing the first three years of the fund revealed that every £1 invested by Momentum has generated £7.46 for the UK music industry.

Managed by PRS Foundation, the Momentum Music fund awards grants of £5,000-£15,000 using public funding from Arts Council England and support from PPL. Spotify, the official digital partner on the fund, contributes additional funding and a reward package containing exciting promotional opportunities and close working relationship between Momentum artists and the Spotify team.

The next deadline for applications to the Momentum Music Fund is 15th August 2017 via the PRS Foundation website.
