New Music Incubator

New Music Incubator is a unique, international exchange programme for performers, composers, improvisers and sound artists from the UK and Sweden. The programme comprises two intensive residencies which give twenty participants the opportunity to develop their practice through creative collaboration.

We are currently halfway through New Music Incubator 2011-12. Brunel University hosted the first residency of the programme in September 2011. Over four intensive days, twenty new music practitioners from the UK and Sweden linked up to explore new ideas and experiment in working collaboratively to create new material. The group will come together again for the final residency on 19–22 April 2012 at Acusticum, in Piteå, Northern Sweden.

Residencies are being led jointly by sound artist and composer, Jan Hendrickse, from the UK, and contemporary performer, Patrik Karlsson, from Sweden.
