Anna Meredith

Anna Meredith is a composer and performer of acoustic and electronic music who has performed to eclectic audiences and been broadcast across Radio 1, 3, 4 & 6.

2012 saw the release of Anna’s debut EP Black Prince Fury on Moshi Moshi records which received critical acclaim and a single of the year award from Drowned in Sound for Nautilus. In 2013 Anna released her second EP Jet Black Raider on Moshi Moshi records and has composed arrangements for The Stranglers & Laura Marling with the London Sinfonietta for the 6Music Prom, performance at Latitude Festival and has been commissioned by Streetwise Opera and Erik Bosgraaf and the Aurora Orchestra.

Anna will be taking up residency in Hangzhou with Dushi Kuaibao here’s what she had to say:

“I’m thrilled to have been selected for the Musicians in Residence scheme in Hangzhou, China. I’m looking forward to working with local musicians and artists to create a bespoke audio tour exploring unconventional corners of this beautiful city – it’s an idea I’ve been wanting to explore for ages and I couldn’t be more excited to be doing it in this amazing part of the world”
