Amy True is fast becoming one of the most influential and talked about personalities in the UK Hip Hop scene, delivering a positive message, while packing a lyrical punch with a wide appeal, speaking to both younger audiences and long-time Hip Hop fans alike.
Amy has gained recognition for her unique ability to combine different musical styles, being equally formidable in both her ability to sing, and her ability to deliver fast paced gritty lyricism.
Never shying away from controversy, and renowned for her live performances, Amy’s music deals with both contemporary issues that society faces, while also digging deep tackling the trials and tribulations of everyday life.

In her career so far, Amy has supported acts including Slum Village, Mos Def, Public Enemy, Congo Natty & Immortal Technique.
A former member of the award winning UK hiphop group Caxton Press, Amy has also featured on Akala’s latest album ‘Knowledge is Power 2’ as well as being a part of Benjamin Zephaniah’s forthcoming unreleased album.
In 2012, Amy was nominated for and won, the Reader’s choice award for best UK female rapper in ‘Wordplay’ Magazine.
