CMW Showcase Performance

The Orielles are creating quite the stir now in the UK, building upon features in the NME, The Skinny and dozens of tastemakers citing them as ‘Big In 2016’ hopefuls. The band have received airplay in the US, Australia and UK as well as daytime play on Radcliffe and Maconie, Steve Lamacq and Amazing Radio’s Shell Zenner, with a strong following in Leeds, Manchester and their hometown of Halifax growing into country-wide interest.

The band have played 65 gigs in the past year, highlights being Festival No6 and playing a house party with US band Twin Peaks. The band have been supporting PINS, The Crookes, The Lovely Eggs and also many touring US bands. Bands like Hinds and Twin Peaks are huge fans of The Orielles. The band have toured around Northern England and are about to embark on their first full UK tour taking on the Midlands and the South. We’ve seen the audiences steadily build. A packed out headline show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute just before Christmas saw much moshing and stage-diving, an amazing way to round off an amazing year for the band. Garnering major interest thanks to their lilting harmonies, glistening guitars and punchy basslines, and spending last summer blowing people away with their electrifying sets at festivals including Dot To Dot, Live At Leeds and Liverpool Sound City, the surf-pop trio are more than ready to hit the road again. For their first foray overseas they have the invaluable support of PRS for Music Foundation.
