Cian Ciaran will be writing an Orchestral/Choral work based on the Welsh fable Rhys a Meinir which, he believes, will be the first musical interpretation. The emotions evoked by this old Welsh story give a wealth of inspiration which lends itself to be explored through the medium of music. The options that an Orchestra gives a composer are as exciting to him now as when he first made a record in his teens. Composers and artists shouldn’t be pigeon-holed into one genre, and neither should audiences. This is an opportunity to open doors for the composer, musician and listener alike.
