Lead by songwriters Martin Longstaff (aka The Lake Poets) and Natasha Haws, Cuckoo Young [Song] Writers group is a weekly songwriting session for young people aged 12-19 who love lyrics, songs and want to learn more. Sessions are drop-in, so budding songwriters of all abilities can join in- whether they are a musician who wants to find out more about writing lyrics or a writer who wants to set their words to music. You don’t even have to be able to play an instrument.

As well as writing songs, our young songwriters have the chance to perform at Cuckoo [Song] Writers gigs and get into the studio to record the songs they write.

Sessions take place on a Saturday at Pop Recs Ltd, the city’s newest venue, record shop and art space.
