Otzeki: International Showcase Fund (Eurosonic 2017)

Otzeki emerged in early 2016 as band poised between the electronic and alternative;  achieving cinematically understated beauty, yet also making the right rhythmic electronic sounds to make bodies move. A rising new talent set to makes waves in the next year, the duo seamlessly blend minimal beats, brooding vocals and dreamy synths and guitars. 2016 has seen them playing sold-out London headline shows at Birthdays, The Waiting Room & The Shackewell Arms as well as festival appearances at Secret Garden Party, ADE & their first international headline show in Paris. Since their self-released debut EP “Falling Out EP” premiered on BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens, the band have gone from strength to strength with further support from XFM as well as BBC6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Selector Radio. In addition to recent backing from BBC Introducing, Otzeki have had impressive radio play in France with plays from Radio Nova and France Inter.  The International Showcase Fund will kick off their 2017 with a trip to Eurosonic Noorderslag that will help bring their scintillating performances to wider European audiences.
