Get It Loud In Libraries is a live programme of shows that excels in marrying wow-factor artists (Adele, The Vaccines, Jessie J) to the bookish landscape of public libraries in a series of unmissable shows that aims to catch emerging artists on the cusp of greatness. Funded in its formative years by Lancashire County Council, Get It Loud In Libraries now operates as a social enterprise allowing all ages audiences to enjoy class acts in boutique venues before they make it big. Not only can young audiences get exclusive access to the best acts of tomorrow, but they are also vital to the leadership of the programme. The programme offers music industry and mentoring opportunities including film and photography; sound engineering; front of house duties; marketing and artwork. Sloping down to your local library to catch Noah and The Whale whilst developing your multimedia skills is actually something that Get It Loud In Libraries allows to happen. The new programme will take in 7 library authorities across the North Of England including Lancashire, Cumbria, Blackpool, Oldham, Bury, Liverpool and Barnsley.
