LAUREL: Momentum
Southampton-raised, 21 year old London-based singer, songwriter and producer Laurel Arnell-Cullen has to date released 2 EPs, To The Hills and Holy Water. She has achieved consistent radio support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, including a BBC Introducing playlist, BBC 6 Music and a Dermot O’Leary session for BBC Radio 2. She started making music at the age of 11, gigging in her hometown of Sarisbury Green and has progressed to supporting Future Islands, MSMR and Jack Garratt as well as playing UK Festivals The Great Escape, Dot to Dot, headlined the bandstand at Bestival and Radio 1’s Big Weekend. LAUREL also played her first U.S shows last year at The Troubadour in LA, KCRW’s “School Night” in LA & New York and headlined at the knitting Factory for Northside Festival (New york) and NXNE in Toronto. At press, LAUREL has been featured in The New York Times, Vogue, Noisey, Pigeons & Planes, The Guardian, The Times, The Independant, NME and numerous blogs. LAUREL is about to release her new single Life Worth Living and her debut album is set for release late 2016.
