The Nest Collective continues to push the boundaries of folk and world music, presenting a wide variety of shows throughout the year and developing partnerships with venues, acts, artists, groups and organisations around London and the UK.
Their monthly shows at the Old Queens head continue to attract a strong following, and for autumn 2016 they are collaborating with the Foundling Museum to present ‘Folk at the Foundling’, a monthly show in their spectacular viewing galleries.
Summertime sees the return of the campfire club series, launched at the UnampliFire festival in Deptford, a coming together of over 30 musical acts over 5 stages. The Campfire club moves between Bow, Bethnall Green and Peckham, presenting a sonorous treat in some of London’s most delightful green spaces around the open fire.

The partnership with the Southbank centre continues apace for 2016, with the house ceilidh band performing their residency in the Clore ballroom on New years day, and the ‘Folk with Altitude’ summer program returning with acts such as the Hanoi Masters, Chouk Bwa Liberte from haiti, and Ifa band from Tanzania.
The world music theme continues in June with Ukranian powerhouses Dakha Brakha at Rich Mix, and throat singer Tanya Tagak at the Forge.
The nest will also be presenting stages at many UK festivals this summer including Cambridge folk festival, Port Elliot, Festival No.6 and Shambala.
