For:

Partikel's String Theory UK Tour 2016

Partikel have forged a reputation as one of the most forward looking groups to emerge on the European jazz scene. The nucleus of Partikel is made up of three London based musicians led by saxophonist Duncan Eagles, all from different musical backgrounds who have come together to combine their various favorite musical elements to create a very particular sound of their own. Their music puts an interesting twist on the standard jazz format, whilst still honoring the tradition of deep harmony and creative improvisation.

Following on from their 2015 release ‘String Theory’ they will now be undertaking an extensive UK tour, performing music from the album as well as new music they have been developing with violinist Benet McLean and on selected dates with the full string quartet that is featured on the album. The live rendition of this genre-busting music is a high energy and virtuosic experience incorporating sounds and influences from the world of electronics, classical and world music tied together with the fundamentals of jazz and improvised music.
