Trio HLK – Rich Harrold, Ant Law and Richard Kass – work within a musical language that might be deemed rhythmically and harmonically deviant. Their music fuses Contemporary Classical music with Jazz, while drawing from Hip-Hop, Breakcore and Metal. Their intention is to play with musical ambiguities, particularly that of perceived rhythm, and to experiment with improvisation in unpredictable frameworks. Their music is raw, direct and full of surprises.
