A Musical Score For Our Adaptation of Chekhov's Three Sisters

Sisters Lolo, Mmeri and Udo are whiling away their days in a rural Biafran backwater longing to return to the cosmopolitan Lagos of their youth. In this stunning new adaptation from award-winning poet and playwright Inua Ellams (The Black T-Shirt Collective, National Theatre) Chekhov’s bittersweet comedy is transposed to Nigeria during the Biafran war. This bold new production marries award-winning Metta Theatre’s striking visual style with powerhouse performances from some of our country’s leading black actors. With an exciting new score specially composed by Sola Akingbola.
