With the grant offered from the PRSF, I will be writing and rehearsing a new set of music for my project Eyes Of A Blue Dog, a collaboration with Norwegian musicians Terje Evensen and Elisabeth Nygaard. Follwing the success of our album released on Babel earlier this year, we aim to expand our creative output with the writing of a new album to be recorded later this year and showcased at gigs across the UK and Europe over the next 12 months.

The music exploits a mix of contemporary electronica, cutting edge jazz and improv alongside the more adventurous aspects of post rock and alt pop.

It takes influence from down-town NY, Norwgegian ambient genres, and also elements of the UK contemporary jazz scene. With the support from the PRSF, we will have time to finesse the integration of electronica/samples/found sound and make it a fully realised part of the music.

This will be delivered on an album (to be release digitally/CD/vinyl) later this year, but also at the following dates later this year. We are also fixing performance dates and tour for early 2014, to be confirmed shortly.

22nd November, Vortex, London Jazz Festival /Ritzy, Brixton, 22nd September/ Amersham Arms, SE Collective, 28th September / Tape To Zero, Oslo, 4th March 2014,

The support of the PRSF will enable us to take time out of our individual commitments to develop this music to its potential, giving us time to also hone the live delivery of this material.
