The Pooches: International Showcase Fund (SXSW)
The band signed to US label Lame-O Records early in 2016 and have released an EP and album, both of which were received favourably in US press and radio. The have also released music via a handful of other labels, in the US and the UK; Gnar Tapes, Related Records, Fuzzkill Records, Superfan 99 etc. Having played many shows in the UK opening for high-profile US touring acts such as Modern Baseball, Beach Slang, Car Seat Headrest etc in the last 18 months, the band are keen to build on what they have so far achieved in their native Scotland by performing in the US for the first time. Being invited to play SXSW is an incredibly exciting opportunity for the band and they are looking forward to meeting with the team who worked on their album, as well as building new relationships with booking agents and promoters from the US and around the world.
