Safone: International Showcase Fund (SXSW)

Safone is the definition of Grime, raw, uncut and completely self funded, he has done many things as part of the StayFresh collective but really came into his own as a solo artist when he launched his own independent label MadOne Music and released his first official single, She Want’s a Man from Brum. This was play-listed on BBC 1xtra for over 6 weeks and received regular radio play on Radio 1, Kiss FM, Rinse FM and Radar and he continues to regularly receive support from DJ Target, Sian Anderson, Mista Jam, Logan Sama, DJ Cameo and more.
In 2016 he performed in front of his biggest crowd of 20,000 people as part of the Red Bull Culture Clash 2016 and also had many other performances on tours, festivals and events across the country and internationally in countries including Amsterdam, Ayia Napa, Kavos and Ibiza supporting artists such as Lethal B, Stormzy, Tyga, Lady Leshurr and Bugzy Malone.
In 2017 we will see his first headline show and also his first American appearance at SXSW which help him engage his ever growing American fan base and this would not be possible without the support of PRS Foundation.
