“The mathy skronk of Battles, Foals’ wounded hearts and The xx’s sense of space, all tempered by a freeness of mind that only comes from breathing a dose of sea air each morning” NME

“The best live act I’ve seen this year…I think they will be huge.” Jason Carter – Head of Live Music (BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 1xtra, 6music)

Tall Ships released their debut album ‘Everything Touching’ in October, through Big Scary Monsters/Blood and Biscuits, receiving rave reviews from all corners of the press and radio, making fans such as Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens on the way. The album was recorded with producer Jamie Field in Devon and mastered by Jeff Lipton at Peerless (Battles, LCD Soundsystem, Bon Iver and Arcade Fire).

Having previously toured across the UK and Europe with We Are Scientists, Los Campesinos, Minus the Bear, 65daysofstatic, Dry The River and Maps & Atlases, Tall Ships Headline album tour saw them sell out venues across the UK, including XOYO in London, before touring across Europe with Nada Surf. Having been spotted at Latitude festival last summer, Tall Ships were invited to headline the BBC stage at Reading & Leeds festivals, which was followed up with latest single ‘Gallop’ being playlisted on BBC Radio 1, which had previously been premiered on Pitchfork,  and also the chance to film a live session at the world famous Maida Vale studios.

The band will play a short run of UK dates in March, including their biggest headline show to date at Scala, before travelling to the US for their first trip to SXSW in Austin. They are currently looking for a home for their debut album in the US, so this will be a great chance for the world’s industry executives to catch them as they showcase tracks from the record in their breath-taking live show.
