Possibly the hottest new band on the British scene, The Defiled are now ready to show the rest of the world why metalheads up and down the UK are flocking to their shows.

After making the bold move of giving away 80,000 copies of their debut full length via Metal Hammer magazine (UK) at the beginning of 2011, and following up with a tour of the UK which put them in front of 15,000 metalheads supporting MURDERDOLLS in February, the buzz on The Defiled by March was unprecedented. A headline tour of the UK in May followed, and the sold out shows left in their wake led to offers for prestigious festival slots such as headlining the Jagermeister stage at SONISPHERE (pulling that stage’s biggest crowd of the weekend by some 500%), and opening the main stage at BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR.

A quick listen to tracks such as “Call To Arms” or “The Resurrectionists” leaves you in no doubt as to why the UK are pinning their hopes on this London mob. Simultaneously crushing and melodic, brutal and beautiful, it’s no surprise The Defiled are fast becoming the UK’s new favourite metal act – heavy, pounding grooves coupled with remarkably imaginative electronic elements, and choruses so instantly infectious that you’ll be singing along by the end of the first listen.

Add to that an eye-catching image that demands attention and a live show that drops the jaws of all who witness it, and you have a the most exciting prospect the UK metal scene has produced in years.
