New Music Programme - Nurturing Talent

Find out more by visiting:

PRS for Music Foundation will support Sage Gateshead to fulfil their five artistic principals.

Journeys in Music – Programming for and communicating to our public and participants with an aim to help them develop relationships with new areas of our work, encourage repeat visits and risk-taking with music; and support ambition, achievement and progression.

Nurturing Talent – Investing in and developing new, young, and emerging artists through training, programming, partnership support, brokering and mentoring.

Inclusive Engagement – Involving people from across the spectrum of our North East communities, with particular consideration for those who may be marginalised or vulnerable.

New Work – Commissioning new performance work, investing in Learning and Participation innovation and instigating new collaborative projects.

Artistic Production – e.g. touring new performance work, event development and production, publishing learning resources. A previous PRS for Music Foundation grant has allowed us to sustain and develop our programme to ensure a high level of quality artistic programming both through learning and participation and performance. It has allowed us to take more risks and push boundaries in order to give our audience the opportunity to access new and exciting music experiences.

This is our 10th anniversary year, a time when we want to be more ambitious than ever with our programming and artist development. PRS for Music Foundation support will help us deliver truly memorable experiences for our artists and audiences.
