Chris Hanna is a young Bass producer from Belfast whose talent has been recognised from all quarters of the industry. His talent first got recognised when on a work placement at local record label Champion Sound Recordings, he played the owner some of the music he had been making at home in his bedroom and posting anonymously on youtube. He first started releasing music as Unknown before teaming up with singer Gemma Dunleavy and becoming UNKNWN .

In today’s topsy turvy internet world he first gained a following in America due to support of his music by tastemaker blogs such as Pitchfork, Dummy, Fader and XL8R. This led to a trip to New York and SXSW earlier this year where aside from eating Taco’s and having a good time he came to the attention of the many UK music industry heads in attendance…

He has released three EPs of original work to date #001-004, #005-008 and the “I Cry” EP . He has just finished ( with Gemma ) on another EP which is the double A sided BBY/Devil EP. Already some work has started on the debut album.

The UK needs to know more about UNKNWN and so the next logical step is to bring the trademark sound into all corners of the UK.
