Hannah V: Women Make Music

Hannah V is a London based music producer, song writer, pianist and keyboard player. She was born in Germany to South Indian parents. She briefly lived in India, but spent the majority of her childhood in Berlin. She moved to London to study Jazz Piano at the Royal Academy of Music. After graduating, Hannah became one of London’s most in demand keyboard players – touring for many major pop acts including Rihanna, Jessie J, Jason Derulo, Lalah Hathaway, Taio Cruz, Jay Sean, Sugababes and Anastacia. She signed to Sony/Pitched up in 2014 and decided to shift her focus on production and song writing. Hannah released her critically acclaimed debut EP Version 2.0 and single It Ain’t Right with Sony Imprint Pitched Up in 2015. It Ain’t Right is the soundtrack of Rimmels global ‘The Only One’ Lipstick Campaign. Hannah has recorded, produced and written with artists such as JP Cooper, Andreya Triana, Mousse T, Alani Gibbons, Alex ‘Cores’ Hayes, Leo the Lion and Cherri V.

With the help of this PRSF funding, Hannah will write/produce/record and release her second EP. She says: “I cannot wait to get stuck into this project! I have grown over the past few years as a producer and a musician – this body of work reflects this. I want to add a deeper level of musicianship to this EP. Expect honest songs, heavy hitting productions, amazing musicians and singers and a ‘Making Of’ Documentary to go along with it!”
