Paigey Cakey: Women Make Music

The project will give Paigey the ability to work with experienced music industry professionals and the opportunity to take her music marketing to the next level by engaging in professionally delivered marketing and promotion campaigns across her music releases, with experienced guidance and advice.

Hackney’s 23-year-old Paigey Cakey has already stacked a formidable list of releases. With three EPs and a mix-tape (as well as countless features with profiled artists) under her belt, Paigey is preparing to drop even more singles from her latest Red Velvet EP and upcoming untitled debut album.

Paigey Cakey cites artist such as Ms. Dynamite, Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj – as playing huge roles in her musical development – she also references the likes of Drake, Bryson Tiller, Torey Lanez and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Even if you don’t know Paigey’s music (and that will change soon enough), chances are you know her face from major roles in BBC’s Waterloo Road and Joe Cornish’s 2011 sci-fi horror Attack The Block. Right now, Paigey has taken a little break from the acting world – but not a permanent one. She’s still found time to work on a couple of projects in 2016….Even when Paigey slows down, her work-rate still outpaces the competition. Watch this space as Paigey cements her position with the UK music scene and further afield.
