United Vibrations is a 4-piece Future Afro Jazz band from south-east London transmitting positive vibes through their performances, inspired by music from across Africa, including Salegy by Wawa (Madagascar) and Salief Keita (Mali), and Ska Punk fusions. With musical influences spanning the likes of Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, John Coltrane, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, 4Hero, Jaco Pastorius, Ali Farka Toure and Talking Heads.
United Vibrations deliver an incredible live show and have graced the stages of Standon Calling, Jazz Sous Les Pommiers Festival, Edinburgh Jazz + Blues Festival, Brainchild Festival, Festival de la Cite, Dimensions Festival, Global Copenhagen, Passing Clouds, Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s, Rich Mix and the Roundhouse.
The band consists of: Wayne Francis (Keys/Sax/Vox), Ahmad Dayes (Trombone/Vox), Kareem Dayes (Bass/Vox) and Yussef Dayes (Dums/Vox).
With radio play/support from Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6), John Kennedy (Radio X), Dom Servini (Amazing Radio + Wah Wah Radio), Simon Raymonde (Amazing Radio), Nick Luscombe (BBC Radio 3), Russ Jones (SOAS Radio), Switzerland Worldwide Radio, DJ Freestyle (Galaxy Radio) and Jamie Cullum (BBC Radio 2).
United Vibrations continue to expand their music with a level of consciousness and musical dexterity – latest release, “The Myth of the Golden Ratio” signed to Ubiquity Records. Back catalogue includes: ‘Ra!’, ‘No Space No Time’, debut album ‘Galaxies Not Ghettos’ and ‘We Never Die’ EP.
