Full schedule announced for PRS Foundation’s Talent Development Conference 2019 – book your tickets now!

PRS Foundation’s Talent Development Conference is an annual, landmark day of Panels, Keynotes and Networking Opportunities, presented with contributions from our network of Talent Development Partners. The conference takes place on Thursday 26th September 10.30am-5.00pm at KO:HOST at Kollider, Sheffield City Centre, connecting music organisations, policy-makers, music creators and talent development pioneers working across the UK, and covering all genres and career levels.

Join us this year in Sheffield to take a fresh look at shared challenges and opportunities for the music sector. Covering a range of topics, we will focus on the need to put meaningful creative support at the centre of talent development approaches.

Tickets are £15 each

This covers a lunch token so delegates can choose from acclaimed in-house independent kitchens at Kommune (http://kommune.co.uk/) in Kollider

Joe Frankland, CEO, PRS Foundation will introduce, with a keynote from Dan Jarvis the first Mayor of Sheffield City Region. Dan Jarvis MP will outline the newly created Music Board’s key objectives, findings from the collaborative report with UK Music, and his commitment to supporting talent in Sheffield City Region.

Guest speakers include Artist Manager (Bat For Lashes, Fat White Family) Sarah Brooksbank, Coco, Rebecca Lucy Taylor aka SELF ESTEEM, Jo Towler from Music in the Round and Michael Dugher from UK Music.

Queen Zee and CHAINES discuss gender identity in music with Clare Crane, BBC 6Music News, while Rakhi Singh, Composer, Nicole Raymond (aka DJ NikNak), Artist, and Ben Lunn, Composer discuss effective creative development models with Phil Taggart, BBC Radio 1.

Owen Parry, Multi-Track Bristol, Jo Nockels, Opera North, Shirley Tetteh (aka Nardeydey), Artist, Moderator: Simon Pursehouse, Sentric Music encourage joined up thinking, championing collaboration across the UK, while Crispin Parry, British Underground, Yaw Owusu, The Playmaker Group and LIMF Academy,  Soosan Lolavar, Classical:NEXT Fellow, Gareth Bonello, Musician in Residence China discuss opportunities to collaborate internationally with Becci Scotcher, PRS Foundation.

Rich Legate from Attitude is Everything and Savages drummer Fay Milton, join our Hi-Five session platforms celebrating those pushing boundaries. Please note, there will be a Talent Development Partner curated gig on Wednesday 25th September at The Leadmill. We encourage Conference delegates to travel the day before, catch great live music and stay the night in Sheffield.

Accessibility
Kollider is a fully accessible building. Wheelchair users can access a lift to Ko:Host (1st Floor). If you have any specific access requirements, please contact laura@prsfoundation.com

Parking
Discounted parking is available at NCP Hartshead reducing the rate to £6.90 per head from over £20.
