Join us at BBC Music Introducing LIVE 2019

 

We’re very excited to be returning to the BBC Music Introducing LIVE event which this year is taking place on Thursday 31st October – Saturday 2nd November at Tobacco Dock, Wapping Lane, London E1W 2SF.

If you’re making or performing music and want to earn from your work, or maybe need support to take your career to the next level, then come and say Hi to the PRS Foundation team and our friends from PRS for Music and PPL in our joint OnTrack room.

Drop in to the PRS for Music, PPL and PRS Foundation OnTrack room in the Navy Zone anytime between 9:00am – 6:00pm each day and speak to our teams directly and hear the tips and experiences from artists, producers and songwriters including PRS Foundation supported writer producers Rhiannon Mair and Steph Marziano (Writer Producer Fund) and supported music creators, Auntie Flo (Momentum Music Fund), The Big Moon’s Celia Archer (International Showcase Fund), Poppy Ajudha (Keychange) and Emma McGrath (Women Make Music).

11.00am – Record Producers: Producing Your Life – hosted by Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 6 Music)

Producers play a number of vital and creative roles in the recording studio and music creation process. Get tips from the experts on how to work with artists to produce their vision, the creation of your own work, how to make a living and the support available for this often unseen role in creating a finished record.

The 2019 Scottish Album of the Year winner Auntie Flo talks about his career leading up to the award winning album. Hear about the creative journey, the support he received along the way and sustaining a career in music; from bursting onto the scene in 2010, to becoming the award winning global artist and DJ he is today.

Calling all music creators and songwriters! Want to get the inside track on how to improve your practice from leading songwriters and writer-producers? Join us to hear expert songwriters and writer-producers, discuss creative tips, learnings on how to forge long-term careers as songwriters and noteworthy moments in their careers.

One of NME Magazine’s Top 100 Artists of 2019, Poppy Ajudha discusses her music journey to date, from South London to being on Barack Obama’s playlist, hear how she started out and what have been the most important moments in her career to date.

Listen to a short performance from 19 year old singer-songwriter Emma McGrath, heralding from Harpenden, North London, whose recent EP ‘Silent Minds’, saw its first single, ‘Love You Better’, accumulate over 1.5m streams.
