Latest music creators to receive PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music support announced

We’re delighted to reveal the latest music creators to receive the pioneering Women Make Music support in association with AWAL and Glastry are:
Aleighcia Scott – Album release and promotion
Ana Silvera – Album release and new visuals
Angela Elizabeth Slater – Creation of a new piano concerto
Balladeste – Album production and release
Emma-Jean Thackray – Debut album recording and release
George Riley – Recording and releasing four singles
Hyelim Kim – Audio-visual recording
Jodie Nicholson – EP release and marketing
Keedz – EP Recording
Linda Buckley – Creation of a new piece for clarinet, violin, viola and cello
Oklou – Mixtape recording and marketing
R.A.E – Mixtape recording, release and launch
Ryoko Akama – New composition recording, release and premier
Tamzene – EP Recording and release
TS Graye – UK EP tour (2021)

Women Make Music was set up in 2011 as a response to the low representation of women amongst songwriters and composers (then 13 percent) and lack of applications for funding featuring women composers/songwriters (then 16 percent). Women Make Music, in association with AWAL and Glastry, supports the development of outstanding women, trans and non binary songwriters and composers of all genres and backgrounds at different stages of their career, with grants of up to £5,000.
