PRSF Grantees scoop Awards and Nominations at the Ivor Novello 2022

Congratulations to all the winners and nominees at the Ivor Novello Awards 2022, which celebrates Britain’s best songwriters and composers. Winners include #FundedByPRSF artists Sam Fender, Little Simz, Dave and Laura Mvula.

North Shields singer-songwriter Sam Fender (with his first ever Ivor Novello nomination) and Little Simz have both been funded via PRS Foundation’s flagship funding scheme PPL Momentum, which funds artists at a crucial tipping point and takes artists and bands to the next level. Fender won Best Song Musically and Lyrically, while Little Simz won Best Contemporary Song.

Little Simz has also been funded through the International Showcase Fund, as has four times Ivor Novello winning rapper Dave who was crowned Songwriter of the Year.

Best Album went to Women Make Music artist Laura Mvula for Pink Noise.

PRS Foundation grantees were well represented across the board with further nominations going to Cleo Sol, Mura Masa, Rag’n’Bone Man and Matilda Mann.
