PRS Foundation Grantees win big at Say, Jazz FM & Youth Music Awards

Congratulations to Fergus Mccreadie who, after his stunning performance at 2022 Mercury Prize Awards earlier this week, won last night’s SAY Award. The Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award is Scotland’s national music prize; celebrating Scottish music, and the cultural impact and contribution of outstanding Scottish albums.

McCreadie – who was funded through the International Showcase Fund to showcase at Jazz:Ahead – also won Instrumentalist of the Year at Jazz FM Awards 2022. Special thanks to Creative Scotland & The Musicians’ Union’s Dave Webster, an incredible advocate for exporting UK jazz.

There were even more awards won this week at the Youth Music Awards, highlighting the successes achieved by just a few of the incredible organisations that are a part of our Talent Development Partnership and supported through Open Fund
