Robocobra Quartet Album Prize at NI Music Prize completes quartet of PRS Foundation wins

Robocobra Quartet’s Album of the Year win at the NI Music Prize has completed a quartet of PRS Foundation awardee album wins, representing all four of the Nations – this also include Fergus McCreadie in Scotland, Adwaith in Wales (the all-female Welsh-language group who have made history with their second Welsh Music Prize win) and Little Simz with UK-wide Mercury Prize.

  • Fergus McCreadie Scottish Album of the Year Award 2022 for ‘Forest Floor’ (Edition Records)
  • AdwaithWelsh Music Prize 2022 for ‘Bato Mato’ (Libertino Records)
  • Little SimzAlbum of the Year, Mercury Prize for ‘Sometimes I Might be Introvert’ (Age 101 & AWAL)

The winning artists and albums have been supported through PRS Foundation grants;

  • Robocobra Quartet supported through PPL Momentum Music Fund, The Open Fund for Music Creators, International Showcase Fund for LA Sync Mission conference and Flash Funding
