Best Albums of 2022

Looking back at 2022, Rough Trade, The Guardian, The Quietus and NME are just a few of the listings to include DOZENS of PRS Foundation grantees in their round up of ‘the best’.

2022, what a year it’s been. As the world has slowly emerged from lockdown, we’ve been listening to and supporting some of the UK’s most interesting and ground-breaking new music creators. There’s so much incredible new music. We continue to be blown away year by year, by the music our grantees create. And, everyone else agrees.

Our grantees have appeared in their dozens on listicles from Rough Trade’s Albums of the Year to The Guardian’s 50 Best and many more. Check out even more recommendations at The Quietus – Albums Of The Year 2022 NME The 50 best albums of 2022 Pitchfork the 50 Best Albums of 2022

PRS Foundation is the UK’s leading charitable funder of new music and talent development. This year we supported 9 out of 12 Mercury nominees, more than ever before. We’re proud to be able to support outstanding new music creators and are looking forward to what 2023 has in store!
