PRS Foundation announces the third round of promoters supported through the Early Career Promoters Fund

  • Since the fund launched more than £135k in support has been issued to nearly 50 early career promoters
  • 80% of selected grantees are women and gender-diverse promoters
  • 58% grantees are based outside of London
  • Deadlines to apply are rolling each month with the next deadline on 15th October 2024 at 6:00pm

We’re excited to announce the third round of promoters receiving the targeted Early Career Promoter Fund, supported by Arts Council England using strategic funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

The 12 early career promoters, selected for support by a network of specialist music industry advisors, are:

Charlie Williams: Third season of events for “Postclassical” concert series in the Bristol/Bath region.

Jonah Sharma (Purple Collective): Will curate and realise five events in Manchester between October and December – one spoken word, one jam night and one club night.

Christopher Edward (Ed) Leese: Continue to build out the multi venue festival & prove development pathway of Artists they work with.

Loz Walsh: Gigs to platform the blend of electronic music with new wave/post punk elements involving a headliner from London alongside local artists and DJs.

Sian Rees: Hosting three live music events one month apart, featuring support, headliner and DJs, hosted on a weekend.

Mina: Launching Club Soft – an alcohol free, day party series with two pilot events at The Bath House, Hackney Wick.

Toni Grehan: Planning two medium sized club nights and one large scale. Booking two headline female/gender expansive DJs and 1 South Asian duo. Local support DJs.

Steffania Zoledowska: Organising one multi-disciplinary event in the last week of November and one in Spring (March/April).

Alyson Kandace Hewitt: 1- 3 events in grassroots venues showcasing authentic roots and culture reggae music, presented by talented creatives from under-represented groups.

Hasan Choudhary: Three club events showcasing talented grassroots techno and experimental electronic music artists, predominantly from underrepresented backgrounds in a grassroots music venue in Hackney.

Sinead Walsh: Delivering innovative, diverse, and empowering events for everyone, through expanding our International Women’s Day events, and launching our new concert series ‘Spotlight on Her’.

Beth Roberts: Four gigs with local artists who are promoting new music, plus paid research time, diversity training and a virtual summit of other grassroots promoter musicians.
