PRS Foundation artists receive 29 nominations at this year’s MOBO Awards

29 of the MOBO award nominations this year feature artists who have received PRS Foundation support during their careers through the International Showcase Fund, PPL Momentum Music Fund, Women Make Music, The Open Fund, POWER UP, MOBO Unsung and BBC Music Introducing partnership.

Our PPL Momentum grantee Jordan Adetunji who picked up ‘Music Video of the Year’ at the Northern Ireland (NI) Prize earlier this year, has been nominated for the MOBOs in the ‘Song of the year’ & ‘Best Newcomer’ category. Adetunji is breaking all the rules with his genre merging rap and r&b post punk. The Alternative Hip Hop Artist has currently gained a huge momentum with his tracks being featured in huge Spotify playlists such as Alternative Hip Hop, Chillmatic, New Punk Tracks, as well as Rap UK and Fresh Finds Rock. His viral hit ‘Kehlani’ has earned him a Grammy nomination in the Best Melodic Rap category alongside legends like Beyonce and Eryka Badu.
