13 PRS Foundation Grantees receive nominations at The IVORS Classical Awards 2025

Huge congratulations to the 13 PRS Foundation grantees who have been nominated for The Ivors Classical Awards.

34 composers and librettists were nominated across six categories celebrating classical music and sound art. 13 of the 34 are PRS Foundation grantees with James MacMillan receiving two nominations in the ‘Best Orchestral Composition category.

The nominated grantees have received PRS Foundation’s Open Fund, The Composers’ Fund, Women Make Music, Beyond Borders & Resonate at vital moments in their career.

Ruby Colley’s nominated piece ‘Hello Halo’ was directly funded through Women Make Music.

Nneka Cummins received support from PRS Foundation Talent Development Network Organisation Sound and Music whilst Robin Haigh was supported through our Open Fund Organisation Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS)

Presented by The Ivors Academy, The Ivors Classical Awards celebrate creative excellence in British and Irish composing. Judged by composers for composers, the awards recognise excellence in craft and creativity.

Hosted by Tom McKinney and Kate Molleson, at BFI Southbank on the 11th November, the ceremony is supported by PRS for Music and in association with BBC Radio 3.

The event will bring together leading composers, music industry figures and cultural sector guests to celebrate outstanding contemporary classical music. Tickets can be purchased on the Ivors website.
