20 PRS Foundation-supported artists, songwriters and industry professionals nominated at the BRIT Awards 2026

20 PRS Foundation-supported artists, songwriters and industry professionals nominated at the BRIT Awards 2026

Six artists supported by PRS Foundation at crucial career stages have been nominated at this year’s BRITs, spanning multiple categories and career moments. This includes multiple nominations for established artists Sam Fender (4), Wolf Alice (3), Dave (3) and Little Simz (2); a second BRIT nomination for Self Esteem; and a first-ever BRIT nomination for Sasha Keable.

Skepta, supported through the PRS Foundation X MOBO Tour and indirectly via PRS Foundation’s Open Fund to Manchester International Festival (which commissioned his project DYSTOPIA987), has received two nominations. These include Song of the Year for ‘Victory Lap’ with Fred Again.. and PlaqueBoyMax, and Dance Act of the Year for the same collaboration.

Behind the scenes, PRS Foundation-supported songwriter Violet Skies is a co-writer on Lily Allen’s nominated album WEST END GIRL, while Abby Meysenburg, a PPL Momentum Accelerator industry professional in the Liverpool City Region, is part of the management team for BRITs Critics’ Choice winner Jacob Alon.

British music collective SAULT are nominated for Best R&B Act. The collective features singer-songwriter Cleo Sol, who was supported through MOBO Unsung in 2012 — a MOBO initiative delivered in conjunction with PRS Foundation to support emerging talent.
