Sam Fender, Kae Tempest & Brian Irvine honoured at this year’s Ivor Novello Awards

We’re proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of three PRS Foundation grantees at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards.

Brian Irvine picked up his third Ivor Novello award yesterday when he won in the ‘Best Television Soundtrack’ category alongside David Holmes for their score to the drama series Trespasses. He has been supported through PRS Foundation’s Beyond Borders & New Music Biennial fund.

Sam Fender, supported through our PPL Momentum Music Fund, took home the ‘Songwriter of the Year’ award with Amazon Music.

Kae Tempest, supported through PRS Foundation’s PPL Momentum Music Fund & International Showcase Fund, was awarded ‘Best Contemporary Song’ alongside Fraser T Smith for the track I Stand on the Line. The award marks Kae’s second Ivor Novello win.

Additionally, songwriters Violet Skies (International Showcase Fund, Women Make Music, Keychange, Hitmaker Fund) and Oscar Scheller (International Showcase Fund) are credited as co-writers on Lily Allen’s album WEST END GIRL. Lily received the ‘Outstanding Song Collection’ award, recognising a body of work that has made a lasting impact on British pop culture and songwriting.

A huge congratulations to all our winners and nominees!
