PRS Foundation 25th Anniversary

Since its creation in 2000, PRS Foundation has been investing in the future of music, funding new music and supporting careers from the grassroots up.

7 out of the last 8 Mercury Prize winners had received PRS Foundation support at critical career stages, and the charity has supported BRITS, Grammys, MOBO, RPS, AIM and Ivors Award-winners.

And we have supported songwriters, composers and artists including:

Little Simz, Sam Fender, Wolf Alice, Ezra Collective, Errollyn Wallen, Dave, Glass Animals, Anna Meredith, English Teacher, Sarathy Korwar, Nubya Garcia, Nadine Shah, Imogen Heap, Dani Howard, Dani Howard, Nova Twins, IDLES, Natalie Holt and Kae Tempest.

PRS Foundation has given more than £52 million to over 9,250 new music initiatives.

We support music creators and strengthen the wider music ecosystem, funding industry professionals and non-profits nationwide to nurture talent in every genre.

We understand the challenges creators face. As home to Women Make Music and co-founders of Keychange and POWER UP, we take targeted action to break barriers and drive real change across the industry.

Without the intervention of PRS Foundation support, thousands of music creators would not have been in a position to create that all important project or develop at that vital time.

Collaborate with us

One of the key secrets to our success is our partnership and collaboration with the industry.

Collaborate with PRS Foundation and:

  • transform music creator careers across the UK
  • empower more talented songwriters, composers and artists to realise their potential, sustain careers and reach worldwide and audiences
  • bolster music scenes from the grassroots up
  • address complex barriers
