sound is a new music incubator based in North-East Scotland. They run the annual soundfestival and support composers through a wide-ranging development programme of online and in-person sessions, encouraging skills development, networking and giving advice, and also allowing composers the opportunity to experiment, develop and create new works, and have them performed and heard at the festival. Embedded in the local community, where they run a year-round creative music-making programme for young people and support local musicians, they are also key players in the new music sector in Scotland, the UK and internationally. soundfestival encourages audiences of all ages and backgrounds to experience all kinds of new music and cross-art form experimentation. sound is a PRS Foundation Talent Development Network organisation
