Showroom is one of the largest independent cinemas in Europe and is located in the heart of Sheffield’s cultural quarter. It shows the latest film releases, classic cinema, family films and cinema from around the world. Festivals, special screenings and events add to the rich cultural mix of the city, and education activities engage learners of all ages.

Alex Keegan

Alex Keegan is a recent Philosophy graduate from the University of Sheffield. He is extremely passionate about documenting and promoting Sheffield’s underground, independent art scenes through video, events promotion and writing. He’s worked with Sensoria, Doc/Fest, The Harley, Now Then, drumro[ll] and Tye Die Tapes Records. He also plays guitar in a band called Blood Sport, who blend sounds of Afrobeat, noise rock and elements of electronic music, producing a number of EPs on various independent labels, as well as touring around the country.
