Composer in the House

with the Royal Philharmonic Society

Composer in the House enables UK based composers to spend two years with an orchestra. It was set up by PRS for Music Foundation in partnership with the Royal Philharmonic Society to offer composers the time and space to create new work, and to take their place at the heart of the orchestral community.

The programme has already seen the creation and performance of many new works, including a performance at the BBC Proms and broadcasts. 

Our current Composer in the House is Huw Watkins, working with Orchestra of the Swan.
