The Open Fund for Organisations

The Open Fund For Organisations

The Open Fund for Organisations supported new music projects involving the creation, performance and promotion of new music led by talent development organisations, venues, festivals, curators, promoters, and large performance groups*.

Previous recipients include Small Green Shoots, English Folk Expo and Manchester Collective.

Grants of up to £10000 were available for high quality new music projects that clearly enable music creators of all backgrounds to develop creatively and professionally. Eligible projects needed to show clear tangible musical outcomes and a clearly defined start and end date.

Support was available to any organisation whose project fits with all three funding priorities:

  • To support the creation, performance and promotion of outstanding new music in any genre

We were particularly interested in the quality of the music

  • To enable the UK’s most talented music creators to realise their potential

We were interested in how your project will develop the music creators involved. You needed to tell us why this particular activity is so crucial to their creative and/or professional development. We are committed to supporting UK based songwriters and composers of all backgrounds

  • To reach audiences

You were asked to outline who you are reaching and how this will benefit the music creators in your application. This includes audiences at a local, regional, national or international level

Please note this funding programme is not accepting applications.

You can find which of our funding initiatives are accepting applications on our deadlines page.
