Mek Summat has brought a variety of cultural events to Bradford over the course of the last few years. Focusing initially on the visual arts scene, then in response to community demand, also bringing live music events to the area. This new venture will now see them bring a series of three launch events to the Shipley district of Bradford. Presenting a mix of both local and national touring bands, from across the genres of indie rock, punk, noise and hardcore. Making good use of the regions grass-roots music venues, Mek Summat aim to bring a new offering to audiences, in a city with a keen appetite for new music which is all too often overlooked on the established touring circuit. The bands invited to play will capture the diversity and inclusivity of the live music scene and give gig goers an event not to be forgotten. Mek Summat believe in the transformative power of live music and can’t wait to play their part in dynamic and burgeoning Bradford music scene.
