Adam Hunte : Early Career Promoter Fund
Concise Project Description : I plan on putting on 4 synthwave and electronica nights across the West Yorkshire Region.
Biog : For the past year, Adam Hunte has been organizing live electronic music showcases across West Yorkshire, aiming to boost the popularity of genres like synthwave, disco, and electropop. These events feature performances with a wide range of instruments, from keyboards and keytars to shakers and theremins, offering a unique live experience that audiences can’t find in local venues. Inspired by his own experiences as a musician, Adam, who creates unconventional music that doesn’t always fit local pubs or nightclubs, founded ‘Space Trash,’ a night dedicated to live electronic performances in small to medium-sized venues. The first Space Trash event, held at The New Beehive in Shipley received positive feedback for offering something different in the local music scene. The second event at The Triangle, Shipley sold out and featured significant improvements in sound and visuals. The third event, held at The Underground in Bradford, featured electropop and nu-disco acts and had over 100 attendees. The venue was redesigned to match the event’s theme, and merchandise stalls were set up, marking the Space Trash format’s official arrival. Having built a strong network in the local electronic music scene, Adam has planned future events with both new and established acts. These events will continue to showcase synthpop and retrowave music, featuring local artists alongside awesome headliners with venues decorated to evoke an ’80s retro vibe.
