Adedeji Wolf Ekundayo: POWER UP Industry Professionals

Short Project Title:

Short Bio: Adedeji Wolf Ekundayo is an award-winning cultural entrepreneur, creative producer, and community leader dedicated to spotlighting and sustaining Black creative talent in Scotland. With over a decade of experience spanning creative strategy, business development, and live events, Adedeji has built his career on a single conviction that culture, run with commercial discipline, is economic power. His work creates tangible pathways for Black and African talent, transforming cultural appreciation into professional opportunity and lasting impact. As founder of Raven Afrikulture and Festival Lead of Aberdeen Music Week, he identified a critical infrastructure gap in the North East of Scotland and built an ecosystem to address it, developing flagship programmes including Afro Indie Series and Heritage Aberdeen, each designed to move Black creatives from the margins into the mainstream. Before Scotland, Adedeji led sales, marketing, and events team at Nordic Hotels Group Nigeria, and served as Hospitality and Protocol Manager at Edgemax Media, where he was part of the team behind sold-out concerts for Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema among others. It was here he learned firsthand that great culture demands both artistic vision and operational rigour. He currently serves as a community panel member for the Black British Voices Project at the University of Cambridge, contributing to national conversations on Black heritage, inclusion, and the future of Black voices in the UK. Through Power Up, Adedeji seeks to connect with like-minded leaders, accelerate growth, and deepen the opportunities available to the communities he serves.
