Anthony Olanipekun: POWER UP Industry Professional
Bio: Anthony Olanipekun aka Tony Supreme, is the founder of Soul Surge, a grassroots organisation blending music discovery and artist development through educational programmes; radio curation; live music programming, supporting and platforming Soul artists. He is also Executive Director of Jazz re:freshed, a record label that supports marginalized Jazz musicians to develop and release music, while providing opportunities for live performance and international touring. He is an award-winning radio broadcaster, curator and artist development specialist working across the Black British Soul ecosystem. With a background in grassroots music education, working with charities and non-profit organisations, community is always at the heart of what Tony does with Soul Surge. Tony’s journey into music began at Reprezent Radio and with Soul Surge has worked with Kiss Fresh, BBC 1xtra, National Prison Radio, British Airways, Adidas, SXSW London, Horniman Museum, Tate Museum, Soho House and more, while championing the sounds of Soul music.
