Apples and Snakes: The Open Fund for Music Creators

Apples and Snakes support emerging and established music creators working in jazz and spoken word.

Lead music creator is Nathaniel Cross (arranger, composer and trombonist) – a high-profile emerging artist, described by Rolling Stone as “Quincy Jones of Catford” for his arranging work. Nathaniel will work with Zena Edwards, Artistic Director, established spoken word artist and singer.

Nathaniel will put together a band of three emerging and established jazz musicians from the cutting edge of the UK Jazz scene with experience in improvisation and integrating jazz with world musical genres including Reggae and Afro Beat.
