Established in 2004, AudioActive is a registered charity working to challenge disadvantage and enhance the development of children and young people by providing high quality creative and musical experiences throughout the South East.

AudioActive believe that music and the arts have the power to change lives. With the aims for all children and young people to be able to access and learn from talented, inspiring artists and for them to be able shape the activities they take part in.

Specialising in music technology and urban performing art forms they create exciting projects and opportunities for young people that nurture their talent and teach them skills that increase their life chances in adulthood and their independence as performers or artists. AudioActive constantly take inspiration from new trends and technological developments to make sure that our work with young people is fresh, original and always evolving.

Funding from PRSF will help support partnerships accross the South East to deliver music workshops to children and young people, with the aim of helping to nurture talented young musicians. They will work with young musicians in isolated rural locations to use online technology to allow them to collaborate with top music producers from around the world, and give them new skills and influences.

Funding will help to develop an annual, public showcase event in Brighton for emerging new young musicians. Further to this, AudioActive will be able to invest time into finding further funding to organise professional productions produced with and featuring young musicians, as well as invest in the training of young people in sound engineering and music production.
