Bethane: PPL Momentum Accelerator Artist
Bio: Bethane is a rising R&B/soul artist from Liverpool, proudly known as the “Scouse girl who sings.” Inspired by artists such as Cleo Sol and Yebba, she crafts soulful, emotionally rich music that blends layered harmonies, warm grooves, and honest storytelling. Drawing from her experiences growing up in Merseyside, her songs explore healing, identity, grief, and self-discovery, creating music that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant. Her debut single, Homebird, introduced her distinctive sound and led to collaborations with producers whose credits include Olivia Dean and Ed Sheeran. Since then, Bethane has continued to gain recognition across the UK music scene. Her latest single, Little Faith, received editorial support from TIDAL UK with placement on its R&B playlist. She has also performed at a sold-out Kindred show at London’s Southbank Centre and delivered a BRITs Manchester Fringe masterclass alongside Michelle Escoffery, reflecting her growing reputation as both an artist and creative voice. With support from PRS Foundation, Bethane is creating, recording, and releasing her debut EP, due in early 2027. The award is supporting every stage of the project, from recording and production to marketing and release, enabling her to collaborate with leading creatives, develop her artistic vision without compromise, and connect her music with wider audiences. The EP marks an exciting new chapter in Bethane’s journey, introducing a body of work that reflects her artistic growth while sharing the stories, sounds, and spirit of Liverpool with audiences across the UK and beyond.
