‘Reflections’ – Debut Album Recording & Release by Bex

Bex is a Bristol-based DJ & producer making waves in the underground Bristol scene, with monthly radio residencies on Noods &1020 Radio whilst developing the sound of her original productions. Most recently, she has landed a weekly Friday DJ residency at the longstanding Bristol live music venue & community hub on Gloucester Road, The Gallimaufry.

Bex draws inspiration from experiences, connections with people and the transcendental capabilities of music. Her taste has always been rooted in eclecticism, born from a deep appreciation for different genres, their interconnectivity and the history of music scenes. Alongside radio shows and producing, she is working on ways to promote inclusivity and diversity in dance music, founding ‘WOMEN*S PRODUCER GROUP’ at the start of 2021, a community for women and non-binary people interested in music production. Following her debut EP ‘Feels’ release in December 2021 and Mantissa EP release in April 2022, Bex is delighted to be turning her attention to the recording & release of her her debut album project, ‘Reflections’, supported by the PRS Women Make Music 2022 fund. This will be a long-form body of work which will musically articulate Bex’s life experiences as a young woman to date, whilst further cementing her signature sound and developing her existing production techniques. Through exploring these themes, Bex aims to inspire and connect with other young women, encouraging them to pursue their own creativity.
