Town Hall & Symphony Hall Birmingham: Jazzlines Programme

 PErformances Birmingham Jazzlines2
Town Hall & Symphony Hall’s Jazzlines programme aims to offer outstanding performance opportunities to emerging and established jazz musicians in venues across Birmingham. A key part of a thriving jazz scene which has developed in the city, Jazzlines commissions cutting-edge new work and supports artists throughout the development, production and promotion of new projects. The organisation’s unique talent development programme seeks to engage people of all ages in jazz and nurtures local talent from primary school age through to undergraduate and professional level.

Performances supported by PRSF include:
• New material from Jonathan Silk, a development of his Jazzlines Fellowship 2013/2014
• New material from Jazzlines 14/15 Fellows: Yazz Ahmed, Chris Mapp and Lauren Kinsella;
• Some of the UK’s leading jazz musicians including Jean Toussaint, Liam Noble, Shabaka Hutching’s Sons of Kemet, and Dave Morecroft’s World Service Project;
• Some of the UK’s finest emerging musicians including Roz Harding, Moonlight Saving Time and Piera Onacko;
• A new commission for composer and pianist Hans Koller in partnership with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
